Each of HÉVÉA’s silky velvety products is an expertly blended combination of unique ingredients including delicate floral rose enfleurage, healing fresh Andalusian aloe vera juice, gourmet cocoa with spices, aromatic Bourbon vanilla, luscious blackberry, stimulating Sarawak white pepper, sweet Alicante almond, calming sandalwood, warm iris wood, resiny Aztec copal, smokey leathery Storax balsam, deep rich Eritrean incense and mysterious frankincense.
When first invented, Eau de Cologne was intended to be used as a topical medicine. It only became widely popular as a body fragrance for both men and women when, in 1709, dozens of mono-essences, citrus and flower oils were mixed in to create perfume.
ABLUTION by HÉVÉA revives this famous notion of perfume as a skin treatment. Natural active ingredients such as fresh aloe vera juice, Japanese Nigari salt, and apple extract benefit the skin while incense and infused resins, macerations of spices and woods provide the basis of the first smoke-based perfumes.
